What does mushroom elixirs taste like?
The Four Sigmatic Mushroom Elixirs have been specially prepared so that their taste is improved. Indeed, some mushrooms (including Reishi) have a particularly bitter taste and are practically undrinkable as they are. To overcome this significant defect, Four Sigmatic has designed special recipes in their elixirs by mixing powerful superfoods with doubly extracted mushrooms.
The taste obtained is really similar to chicory (Ricoré type). In no way do you smell the mushroom (like button mushroom). It is quite surprising.
This is also why the taste of these individual sachets mixes equally well with hot water or hot milk. You get a very digestible and oh so beneficial hot drink. To learn more about mushrooms, click here
Coconut sugar is quite expensive, what is the difference with other coconut sugars on the market?
First of all, there is a product called coconut sugar in the market which is coconut cane sugar. Much cheaper than our coconut sugar, it is not at all the same product we are talking about.
At Supradelic, we only source from products whose source, integrity and product quality are beyond reproach. After visiting the Big Tree Farms network partner producers in Indonesia, we are convinced that this is one of the best qualities of coconut sugar in the world.
The coconut sugar is hand picked and prepared by the producers with care. We guarantee that Big Tree Farms Coconut Sugar is 100% pure, because the manufacturer has glycemic index tests performed regularly. The score of 35 appears in each test, which is a guarantee of the purity of the raw material. Indeed, many manufacturers of coconut sugar "cut" it with cane sugar. This is an outright counterfeit since the glycemic index is found to be greatly increased to the detriment of the health of consumers and the promises of the product.
Is coconut sugar raw?
Actually no. Coconut sugar is obtained after a compulsory cooking process. The fresh nectar is collected from the flowers of the coconut palm. This nectar is then boiled at over 100 ° C to evaporate the excess water and the coconut nectar is obtained. The last transformation process is obtained after drying the nectar. Once dried, the nectar (in the form of a block of sugar) is crushed by hand to achieve a smooth, grainy and dry sugar that you know.
There are a few brands on the market that offer certified "raw" coconut sugars. This is a false advertisement linked to a rather funny anecdote: the person in charge of marketing was quite simply wrong: she did not make the conversion between degrees Celcius and Farenheit. Being American, this person assumed that the 100 ° displayed on the cooking temperature of the product were in degrees Farenheit !! In fact, it was indeed ° C.
In any case, just because sugar and coconut nectar are not raw does not mean that they are not good for your health. They contain minerals, amino acids, trace elements and many vitamins that have made them one of the pillars of Ayurvedic medicine for millennia.
